The Oklahoman and Christian Services of Oklahoma will host the third annual Tot Trot 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk on May 11. Held at Stars and Stripes Park in Oklahoma City, the event will help raise funds to support adoption and foster care programs.

"Our agency continues to grow and serve more children and families," said executive director Holly Towers. "This fun family friendly event is a great way to help make a difference in the life of a child in need."

Inflatable moon bounces and other activities will be available for children during the run and walk. All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and dinner following the run, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

"May is National Foster Care Month. People often wonder how they can be involved in making a difference in the lives of children in foster care. Through this event, people can partner with our organization to make a difference for some of these children, as well as babies in need of adoptive homes," Towers said.

Individuals and groups can register online at www.christian-adoption.org/tottrot. The price is $30 for adults and $15 for children and students. Teams of 10 or more receive a $5 per person discount. Check-in for the event begins at 5:30 p.m.

According to Towers, Christian Services is still accepting corporate sponsors and donations for the event as well. Interested individuals or groups are encouraged to call the agency at 405-216-5240.
