A two-vehicle collision in Ottawa County, Oklahoma claimed the life of a woman from Seneca, Missouri Saturday night.

It happened at 9:28 p.m. Saturday, on State Highway 10, about four miles north of Wyandotte in Ottawa County.

Mary Koderick, 58, died at the scene due to head injuries suffered in the wreck, according to a collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a 2005 Dodge Dually pickup driven by Preston Brecheisen of Wyandotte was eastbound on County Road E120. It failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a 1997 Nissan Maxima driven by Koderick on the driver's side door.

Koderick's car was northbound on Highway 10 at the time of the collision, according to troopers.

Brecheisen's pickup then ran off the right side of Highway 10. Koderick's car ran off the left side of the highway and went into a ditch.

Koderick was pinned in the vehicle for about an hour before being freed by Wyandotte firefighters.

Brecheisen, 22, was not injured in the wreck. A passenger in Koderick's vehicle, 47-year-old Kenny Young of Miami, Oklahoma was also not injured.

All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision, according to OHP troopers.
