Police in Norman say a 15-year-old boy who is accused of raping a girl at Norman North High School may be charged as an adult.

The student is facing first-degree rape charges and other sexual assault charges after another Norman North High student told police she was raped.

The victim said it happened in one of the school's locker rooms late last December. According to court documents, the girl said she tried to fight off the male student, but he continued to rape her.

The boy told investigators the two had consensual sex, not at school, but investigators say they recovered evidence contrary to that.

Norman police say it's not often a minor would be charged as an adult.

The boy who's accused will be 16 years old in three days, but the District Attorney is treating this case as an adult right now.
