BLANCHARD, Oklahoma -

Authorities are investigating the drowning of a 3-year-old boy at a Blanchard home Sunday evening.

Investigators say they responded to a missing child call just after 5 p.m. to the 7500 block of North Rockwell.

Officials say instead they found out the 3-year-old boy had fallen into the family's swimming pool.

EMS crews arrived to find family members giving the boy CPR. He died at a hospital.

"In any case like this, a complete investigation is conducted, several agencies are involved. It's a joint effort to find out exactly what happened," said Blanchard Detective Josh Phillips.

Detectives say parents were home when the boy drowned.
