OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City police officer was injured in a car crash early Friday morning.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. Friday at Northwest 122nd Street and Lake Hefner Parkway in Oklahoma City.

According to authorities, the officer was traveling eastbound on 122nd Street, when a truck going westbound on the street failed to yield and turned in front of the officer's car. The truck was trying to turn into Lake Hefner Parkway before it collided with the officer's car, according to police.

The officer received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He has been treated and released.

The driver of the truck did not require any medical attention, according to police. He was not arrested, and police said they do not believe alcohol was involved.
