STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

Oklahoma State's five game winning streak was halted Wednesday afternoon by Missouri State whose strong offense propelled the Bears to a 7-1 win over the Cowboys.

The Cowboys managed only eight hits on the afternoon, while MSU led the offensive charge with 14 hits. Robbie Rea and Zach Fish led the way for OSU with two hits apiece.

Missouri State scored first in the top of the third off an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.

Later in the fourth with just one out, MSU's Trey Massenberg smashed a triple and then scored on a bunt by Eric Cheray to go up 2-0. The Bears advanced runners around the bases and after OSU failed to make the play off a bunt by Kevin Medrano which allowed the Bears to score. Another sacrifice fly to center plated another run and Missouri State led 4-0 entering the bottom of the fourth.

In the top of the fifth, OSU's Blake Barnes retired the Bears quickly, but left three runners stranded and trailed 4-0 entering the sixth.

The Cowboys finally got on the board in the seventh. Mark Ginther reached the base on an error, then Gabe Weidennar singled to put two runners on for Wes Jones who singled to bring Ginther home and make it 4-1.

MSU added three more runs in the eighth off an OSU error. Their final two runs were scored with two runners on as Luke Voit reached first off a throwing error and scored two unearned runs for the Bears to go up 7-1.

Barnes went 6.2 innings for the Cowboys allowing 11 hits and three earned runs and five strikeouts.

MSU's Clay Murphy went 6.2 innings allowing seven hits and picking up four strikeouts. Tyler Burgess got the save for the Bears pitching 2.1 innings with two strikeouts.

OSU will travel to Fort Worth for a 3-game series at TCU, beginning Friday at 6:30.
