Former OKC Daycare Owner Arrested On Child Porn Charges

A former daycare center owner was arrested for aggravated possession of child pornography. OSBI is investigating Paul Kramp after finding more than 100 images of child porn on his computer.

Kramp still owns the building where the daycare center was once located at 2917 N.E. 29th Street in Oklahoma City. Now, the state is wondering if the children that stayed at the center are part of Kramp's porn collection.

Just more than five years after DHS revoked the daycare license, the building is left abandoned. Neighbors say it has been abandoned for quite some time.

"Half the roof is gone, and it's just really bad," neighbor Jessica Studwell said.

According to court documents filed Friday, Kramp was able to have daily contact with children at the daycare, which was, at the time, called Cinderella's Play School. OSBI agents arrested Kramp in early February during an internet investigation.

"The investigation kicked off due to a peer-to-peer investigation where they are sharing images," OSBI spokesperson Jessica Brown said.

Agents are trying to determine if children who attended Kramp's daycare are the same children in the images. OSBI reports finding both pictures and videos on Kramp's computer.

"These children probably range in age from four to ten," Brown said.

Those who live near the facility were surprised to learn the news.

"It's horrible, and to know they were licensed by DHS is even worse," Studwell said.

On the window of the former daycare is a rating touting a one star plus status given by DHS. The agency sent the daycare a letter in 2006 revoking its license because a man with a criminal past was living at the daycare and the building did not pass sanitary condition requirements.

Just down the street from the daycare is Kramp's home. Court documents reveal Kramp's wife allowed investigators to search her husband's computer at his home before a search warrant was obtained. Kramp's own granddaughter is telling OSBI she had seen her grandpa with child porn and that he had been "into it" for several years.

Kramp bonded out of jail shortly after his arrest.
