Standoff In Norman Ends Peacefully

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A standoff in Norman has ended peacefully.

The standoff started Thursday afternoon near N.W. 48th Avenue and Robinson in Norman.

The Norman Police and Fire Departments first responded to a "shots fired" call in the area. Then, police say the subject barricaded himself/herself inside a home.

There were no victims or injuries reported during the standoff. Police called out the SWAT Team and a negotiator to help put an end to the situation.

Police said there is a history of mental illness with the suspect.
