The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began searching for a plane Tuesday morning that disappeared Monday night while flying from Texas to Oklahoma.

The single-engine Piper Comanche departed from Abilene and lost contact around 7:30 p.m. while flying near Albany, Texas, about 150 miles west of Dallas.

News 9 has learned a man and woman were on board the plane, but their names have not been released. Search crews had to wait until daylight Tuesday to begin the search for the lost plane. They will focus that search around the Albany area.
