STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

Fueled by a career night from Keiton Page, the Oklahoma State Cowboys knocked off the surging Texas Longhorns 90-78, avoiding a three-game losing streak in the process.

Page finished the game with a career-high 40 points, going 20-of-20 from the charity stripe and hitting four of his eight three point attempts in the big performance. In addition to Page's big night, the young guns for the Cowboys proved big in the matchup.

Freshman Le'Bryan Nash contributed 18 points and four boards, high-flyer Markel Brown recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards, and redshirt freshman Michael Cobbins added 12 points and seven boards in the win.

After taking an early lead in the opening minutes of the game, Oklahoma State enjoyed a comfortable lead for most of the first half and cruised to a 51-39 lead at the end of the first half.

Texas opened up the second half trying to reclaim the lead, outscoring the Cowboys 19-10 in the opening 10 minutes of the first half, sparked by seven from Myck Kabongo and capped by five from J'Covan Brown, to close the deficit to 61-58.

However, the Cowboys immediately responded with an 8-2 streak, including five unanswered to push the lead back to 69-60. Kabongo hit a free throw to stop the bleeding, but Brown responded with five of his own, capped by a three-point play, to push the lead back to 14 points.

At that point, Texas was committed to turning the game into a free throw battle, and the Cowboys hit 12 consecutive from the free throw line to close the game.

The Cowboys will be off for three days, before traveling to Norman for their final Bedlam matchup of the year, taking on the Sooners at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
