Missing Texas Girl Found In Muskogee

Muskogee Police report that an 18-year-old woman who disappeared after leaving work at the Dr. Pepper Stars Arena Friday night is safe after an apparent abduction.

The Muskogee Police Department located a missing Texas girl. Bethany Stroud told officers she had been taken at gunpoint from her work place Friday night.

She contacted police from a Muskogee Braums just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

The Frisco Police Department had been searching for the18-year-old woman who disappeared after leaving work at the Dr. Pepper Stars Arena.

Police say Bethany Stroud had last been seen walking toward her car about 8:30 p.m. Friday by other employees.

Police received a 911 call from Stroud's cell phone about 9:51 p.m. that night, but there was no one on the line.   

Muskogee Police say they were dispatched to the Braums at 701 South 32nd Street late Saturday. Stroud told police that she had escaped from her abductor and driven her car to the restaurant to call them.

Frisco Police were en route to Muskogee last night to continue the investigation.

Bethany suffered some bruises and scratches in the ordeal, but she is okay, according to a relative.
