The Oklahoma Sooners grabbed their third and fourth wins of the season Saturday in dominant fashion, knocking off Weber State 12-2 in the early game and shutting out Kent State in the late game 6-0 on the second day of the Sportco Kickoff Classic.

Brittany Williams did most of the heavy lifting for the Sooners. In the third inning already leading 1-0, the sophomore slugger went yard over the center field wall with two on base to put the Sooners ahead 4-0.

In the next at-bat, Destinee Martinez reached on a bunt single and Javen Henson followed with a double to shallow center field to bring her home and give Oklahoma a five-run lead. Henson then stole third base, and scored thanks to a double by Erica Sampson and cruised from there.

In the second game, Keilani Ricketts was nearly lights-out for the Sooners, pitching a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out 12 batters to come away with her second shutout win of the season.

Along with her dominant pitching, Ricketts drove in two of the Sooners' runs, the first coming in the bottom of the first inning thanks to a ground out to put OU ahead 1-0, with the second coming in the bottom of the second on an RBI single to center to extend Oklahoma's led to three runs.

Lauren Chamberlain was the big bat of the second game, knocking a three-run homer over the left field wall to put Oklahoma up 6-0 and put the game away.

The Sooners will try to make it a perfect 5-0 in the tournament at 11 a.m. Sunday playing their second game against the Kent State Golden Flashes.
