The Oklahoma State Cowgirls picked up a much needed 53-49 win over Texas Tech Wednesday night after losing three-straight on the road.

Despite a second half comeback from the Red Raiders, who started the game will plenty of turnovers and forced shots, four Cowgirls scored in double figures to lead the Cowgirls to victory.

Liz Donohoe and Toni Young scored 11 points each while Jordan Schultz and Tiffany Bias each scored 10.

The Cowgirls built an early lead thanks to Donohoe's offensive streak early on. The freshman forward had six of OSU's seven points in the first five minutes of play.

Tech severely struggled in the first half shooting only 29 percent with 10 turnovers and by the break Oklahoma State led 24-18.

The Red Raiders cut the lead to three points just four minutes into the second half. Tech stayed close, but never seemed to take the lead.

Texas Tech saw a big performance out of Chynna Brown who went 7-of-14 from the field in 35 minutes after averaging only 7.4 points this season.

Foul trouble ailed the Cowgirls late in the game. Young picked up her fourth foul with more than six minutes to play and eventually fouled out with almost four minutes to go. Bias then picked up her fourth foul and had to take a rest for a few minutes.

Texas Tech nearly made a final comeback as OSU missed the front end of many one-and-one opportunities. As a team the Cowgirls only managed to shoot 50 percent from the free throw line.

The Red Raiders would get as close as two points when Jordan Barncastle hit a three pointer to make it 51-49 but Texas Tech had to foul and Bias' two free throws sealed the Cowgirl win.

Oklahoma State finished on 35 percent shooting from the field and go 6-of-20 for30 percent from three point range.

Brown finished with 16 points for the Red Raiders who shot 33 percent from the field and hit only 3-of-18 from behind the arc.

The Cowgirls now look ahead to Saturday's matchup against Texas. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in Austin.
