CLEVELAND COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Newcastle firefighters are working to extinguish a large controlled grassfire burning along the west edge of the river north of N.E. 24th Street.

Firefighters from Tuttle and Bridge Creek also have been called out to assist. The fire was originally a controlled burn but firefighters worried it may become out of control, so decided to put it out.
