OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Southwest Oklahoma City.

Officers say they were called to S.W. 22nd and Independence shortly after 5 p.m.  Thursday after a man found a body in a creek. The man told police he was on a walk when he discovered the body.

Police say the body was found near steep and rocky terrain, and that may have played a part in the person's death.

"Could be a natural death from a fall. Could be a homicide. We just don't know that yet," Captain David Brewer of the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

Police have not yet identified the body.
