A Tulsa man waived his jury trial Thursday and pleaded guilty to setting his girlfriend on fire and killing her in 2009.

A Tulsa man waived his jury trial Thursday and pleaded guilty to setting his girlfriend on fire and killing her in 2009.

Kenneth McCurley was charged with first degree arson and 2nd degree murder stemming from the death of Nikkie Partridge on July 10, 2009.

After pleading guilty, a Tulsa County judge ordered McCurley to serve 35 years in prison on both counts.

Under Oklahoma law, McCurley must serve 85 percent of his sentence before he will be eligible for parole.
