Westbrook Earns Western Conference Weekly Honor

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has been named this week's Western Conference Player of the Week.

Westbrook helped OKC go 3-0 on the week thanks to his average of 22 points, 7.3 assists and four rebounds on the week. Westbrook also tallied an average of 3.3 steals in the last week of play.

Against Golden State, Westbrook scored 28 points and had seven steals and 11 assists in the Thunder's 120-109 win over the Warriors.

Below is a breakdown of Westbrook's performances on the week:

Jan. 23 vs. Detroit: Posted 24 points, six assists and five rebounds in a 99-79 win over the Pistons.

Jan. 25 vs. New Orleans: Totaled 14 points, five assists, three blocks and three steals during a 101-91 win over the Hornets.

Jan. 27 at Golden State: Scored 28 points and added 11 assists, seven steals and six rebounds in a 120-109 win over the Warriors.

Miami's LeBron James was also honored by the league this week being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

James paced the Eastern Conference in scoring with 29 points per game while he led the Heat a 4-0 week.

The Thunder are back in action Monday on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers at 9:30 p.m.
