OKLAHOMA CITY -

A metro mother hopes someone recognizes the thieves who took off with and totaled her 16- year-old daughter's car.

Angela Maxie checks the surveillance video of her driveway every morning. Monday morning she noticed her daughter's car was not in the driveway.

Maxie went through the video and saw at just after midnight two males, possibly teenagers, casing the older model BMW. The teens realize the car doors are unlocked and rummage through the car for several minutes then leave. The pair then returned in another car, got into Maxie's daughter's car and drove off.

Maxie reported the car stolen and only hours later she received a call from police telling her the car was located in a cemetery near Northwest Expressway and Council Road. Maxie said it appears the thieves took the car off-roading. The BMW was covered in mud and had visible damage to the body.

Maxie said her daughter is devastated to lose her first car. Maxie hopes someone recognizes the teens from the surveillance video and reports them to police.
