HARRAH, Oklahoma -

Six Harrah students were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after being involved in a school bus crash.

The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. at Elm Street and Dobbs Road. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Jeep slammed into the bus.

An ambulance was called to the scene. The six students taken to the hospital received minor cuts and bruises. Their ages are not known.

The other children on the bus were taken to school and their parents were called. According to the superintendent of Harrah schools, the parents were told the students could either stay in school or go home.

The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries, but he was trapped in his wrecked vehicle for several minutes while emergency crews worked to free him.
