Fire Destroys 16-Unit Ardmore Apartment Building

ARDMORE, Oklahoma -

A Saturday morning blaze destroyed a 16-unit apartment building in Ardmore.

Fire officials say they were called to the Arbuckle Apartments at 3rd Street and B Avenue Northwest shortly after 9 a.m.

Only five units of the apartment building were occupied at the time of the fire.  Everyone got out safely.

The building was a total loss and damage estimates are not yet available.

Firefighters say the cause of the fire has net to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.
