Enid Police Investigate Attempted Theft Of ATM

Posted: Updated:
ENID, Oklahoma -

Enid Police are investigating an attempted theft of an ATM.

It happened early Friday morning at the OnCue Convenience store located at 3904 W. Willow in Enid. Police dispatch received an alarm from that location and officers responded to the scene.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup backed inside of the store. Police say it appeared that the suspect/suspects attempted to tie a rope around the ATM, but the pickup became stuck. The suspect/suspects then abandoned the truck. The ATM was intact and it appeared that nothing was taken during the incident.

Officers determined that the 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup had been reported stolen to the Oklahoma City Police Department on January 17th.

Detectives are reviewing video surveillance.
