Oklahoma City police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident after a man's body was found in southwest Oklahoma City Tuesday afternoon.

According to the police department, the body was found at S.W. 3rd Street and Exchange Avenue in Oklahoma City. Officers said a couple was driving westbound on Exchange Avenue when they saw what they thought looked like a dead body near the OKC Farmers Market in the area.

"Not a lot of businesses are open. They only open during certain times," said Capt. Dee Patty. "Not a lot of heavy traffic this time of day. So right now we don't have any witnesses."

Police have not released the identity of the man yet.
