OSU associate head coach Joe DeForest has resigned at Oklahoma State and is expected to take a position at West Virginia.
Oklahoma State associate head coach Joe Deforest has decided to leave the Cowboy football team.
An Oklahoma State spokesman confirmed to the Associated press Thursday that DeForest is leaving after 11 years with the Cowboys.
At OSU, DeForest served as an associate head coach, special teams coordinator and defensive assistant.
It is reported that DeForest will be taking a job with former coaching colleague Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia, although the school has not confirmed the hire.
West Virginia football spokesman Mike Montoro told the AP: "Nobody has been hired at this point."
DeForest was one of Les Miles' assistants for four years and then stayed on the Cowboys' staff under Mike Gundy. He worked alongside then-offensive coordinator Holgorsen, who is now the Mountaineers' head coach
