Oklahoma City Police arrested a man suspected of stealing $20,000 in jewelry from a couple who'd hired a contractor to do some work on their home.

The couple hired contractors from Premier Visions to work on their home in the 2600 block of Elmhurst Drive. The wife noticed on January 9 that some of her jewelry was missing. Her husband called the company to report the missing jewelry, and the owner said he knew who had probably taken it.

The owner asked the victim to meet him at the apartment of his employee, Kenneth Gibson. The owner then called Gibson's father, who also works for the company, and all three men met at the suspect's apartment in the 12000 block of N. Pennsylvania.

According to the police report, Gibson's father knocked on the door, but when his son didn't answer he went into the unlocked apartment and found what he believed to be the stolen jewelry laying on the dining table.

The man gathered the jewelry into a box, and that's when his son walked into the apartment. He'd been visiting a neighbor.

While the Gibson spoke with his father, the victim called police. When police arrived, they examined the jewelry and arrested Gibson on complaints of larceny and receiving stolen property.
