An Indiana legislator has submitted a bill that would outline how the National Anthem can and can't be performed in that state.

I say the government has no business doing that. Here's what you had to say.

Scott first: "Any attempt to regulate how it is performed is going to be a quick trip to SCOTUS to get that attempt thrown out."

Bugs writes: "If Indiana legislators have nothing better to do than regulate music, they need to adjourn and go home."

But another viewer says: "I love this. I hope it passes. I hope it is enforced nationally. Our national anthem should be as sacred as the flag."

Claud writes: "..it should not be legislated as to how it is sung, but perhaps there should a substantial penalty for intentionally disrespecting it."

Robert says: "I am tired of these so called singers extending notes, vibrating notes or just plain changing the whole spirit of the song!"

C-Bar 55 writes: "This is great!!There is nothing that makes me any madder than some hot shot singer butchering our National Anthem!!"

Finally, W-J asks: "So, Kelly, do you really think you can sing it any better than Rosanne Barr?

I have my doubts."

No, but I have the good sense not to attempt it in public.
