Former Sooner To Be Inducted Into Union Hall Of Fame

Former Sooner cornerback Dominique Franks will be inducted into the Union High School Hall of Fame.

Former Oklahoma Sooner Dominique Franks will be inducted into the Union High School Hall of Fame.

Franks, who was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2010 draft, will be added to the hall of fame Friday, Jan. 13.

The Tulsa native was an all-state player his senior year at Union. He tallied seven interceptions and returned three for touchdowns as a senior for the Redskins. In 2005 he was selected as the runner-up for the State Defensive Player of the Year Award.

At OU he started 28 games and recorded 96 tackles, including 62 unassisted tackles during his career as a Sooner.

He was drafted by the Falcons in the 2010 NFL draft. He played in 14 games and tallied 15 tackles and two interceptions this season.

The induction ceremony for Franks will take place Friday, Jan. 13 at Union's basketball game against Muskogee.
