Woman Accused Of Guthrie Man's Murder Extradited To Oklahoma
GUTHRIE, Oklahoma - A Texas woman accused of shooting a Guthrie man inside his home has been brought back to Logan County.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said 65-year-old Beverly Rhea McColm killed 60-year-old Francis Maurice Byrd on December 7. Guthrie Police found his body after relatives asked officers to check on him.
Investigators say the two were acquaintances and McColm had recently loaned money to Byrd. OSBI Agents arrested her in Kaufman County, Texas, on December 22. She was extradited back to Logan County on Wednesday, January 4, on a complaint of first-degree murder.
