Keeping a New Year's resolution is never easy, but these days, moral support can be as close as your smart phone.

A quick Internet search can reveal dozens of apps that might prove to be helpful with a New Year's resolution.

A common resolution is quitting smoking.  Quitter can help with that.  The app keeps a running tally of how long it's been since your last smoke, and also a dollar amount of what you've saved by not purchasing cigarettes in that time.

Mint is an app that helps you manage your personal finances.  With your information, it will help you set up budgets and alert you when you are close to going over budget.

Remember the milk is a task management app meant to help folks remember the little things in life, like returning library books, and of course, the grocery list.

Some apps are free, others cost a few dollars.  Chances are, if there's something you need, or just need help with something, there's probably an app for it.
