LANGSTON, Oklahoma -
The longest serving president of Langston University has died.
Ernest Holloway was being treated for stomach cancer in Texas when he died on Saturday, December 24, 2011.
Holloway served in a variety of positions at Langston University for more than 40 years and was inducted into the Oklahoma's Educator's Hall of Fame in 1996.
He was the institution's 14th President, a position held for 25 years. He graduated from Langston in 1952.
Ernest Holloway was 81 years old.
