OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police have identified a teen who was injured in an automobile accident Saturday morning and reunited him with family.

Police say 15-year-old Thomas McNary was seriously injured about 8:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of N.E. 23rd Street. The boy was riding a BMX bike when he was struck by a vehicle.

He was unable to tell police who he was before slipped into unconsciousness.

Police contacted the media for assistance in finding the boy's family and about that time a family member saw a Facebook post about the unidentified accident victim.

It turns out McNary was staying with his grandmother and got lost when he was struck by the car.

Family members have been reunited with the boy in the hospital.

An update on his condition has not been released.
