Man Crashes Truck Into Yukon Gas Station After Police Chase

A high speed chase in Canadian County ended with the driver in the hospital, after he totaled his pickup truck.

Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Rowell said the man was originally pulled over for speeding and allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, when he then took off down Route 66 from El Reno to Yukon.

In Yukon, the man drove over two sets of spike strips before veering off the road and into a brick wall at the Love's gas station.

After the man crashed into the wall, he was medi-flighted out to OU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police are also investigating whether the truck he wrecked was stolen.
