I-40 Crosstown Lanes Expected To Open In January

The new lanes of I-40 are expected to open sooner rather than later. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says it is ahead of schedule.

The eastbound lanes are set to open January 5. That's about six months earlier than first thought.

Once the new crosstown is open, crews will take down the old I-40. It will eventually become a ground-level major thoroughfare for downtown.
