OKC Launches Rebate Program For Safe Rooms

Oklahoma City is launching a new safe room rebate program.

The city says the maximum rebate is $2,000 for the purchase and installation.

It has enough money to award a rebate to 64 homes in each ward.

The households will be chosen from an electronic random selection and recipients will have nine months to install the shelter.

Applications will be accepted from now until February 15.
