The Tulsa World reports Oklahoma State University football players Christian Littlehead and Jonathan Rush were charged Monday with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court documents reveal when OSU police searched the players' campus residence Thursday, they found two smoking devices.

If convicted, the two could be punished with up to a year in prison, a $1,000 fine, or both.

Littlehead, a 20-year-old redshirt freshman defensive tackle from Broken Arrow, appeared in all 12 games for the Cowboys this season, finishing with 16 tackles - including two for loss.

Rush was named the Cowboys' starter at left guard heading into the season, but had to sit out the majority of his senior season due to a left knee injury. Later in the season, the NCAA granted Rush a sixth year of eligibility.

Littlehead was ordered to appear in Payne County District Court on December 29. No hearing has been set for 22-year-old Rush.

Oklahoma State released a statement Wednesday morning, but would not comment on any specifics:

"We are continuing to gather facts and the issue will be handled internally."

The team is scheduled to travel to Arizona December 26 for the Fiesta Bowl. OSU will face off against Stanford on January 2.
