OKLAHOMA CITY -

AAA Oklahoma is once again offering its free Tipsy Tow program to those who have too much to drink during this holiday season.

AAA Spokesman Chuck Mai said the Tipsy Tow service will be free to AAA members and non-members, and it will be available in metropolitan Tulsa and Oklahoma City, as well as in Shawnee, Muskogee, Enid, Bartlesville, and Lawton.

The free service will start at 6 p.m. Friday, December 16, and runs until 2 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2012.

"We're always hopeful that more and more Oklahomans will call us for a Tipsy Tow," said Mai. "Because we know many holiday partiers go ahead and take that chance behind the wheel when they really know they shouldn't."

Anyone who feels unsafe behind the wheels can call (800)-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) to request Tipsy Tow. AAA will provide that person and one passenger a ride home within 15 miles of the point of pickup and will tow the person's car home.
