The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office released a surveillance video of an armed robbery that took place at a convenience store in Edmond early Monday morning.

According to the Sheriff's Office, it happened just before 4 a.m. on December 5, at a convenience store near the intersection of I-35 and Waterloo Road.

Sheriff John Whetsel said the victim complied with the robber's demands and handed over the cash inside the register. The suspect even threatened to kill the victim during the crime, Whetsel said.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect is described as a white male who is around 24 years old. He stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 140 to160 pounds. Authorities said the suspect may have blue eyes.

"Today, we are releasing the video from this incident in hopes that someone might recognize the suspect," said Sheriff Whetsel. "Specifically the unique jacket the suspect is wearing. You will notice the coat is dark with large paisley emblems all over the coat."
