News 9 This Morning's Stan Miller and Robin Marsh made a very special stop during our Road Trip Oklahoma visit to Chickasha.

Stan and Robin met with a group of quilters who are creating blankets for families whose soldiers were killed in action in Afghanistan or Iraq.  As a tribute, each family is given a handmade reproduction Civil War quilt.

The Chickasha group is part of a national organization.  Each state has a coordinator who is responsible for recruiting local volunteers to make quilts and present the special quilts to the families.

Stan and Robin were honored and humbled to be asked to sign a quilt for the mother of soldier Mycal Prince.  Prince, who was from Minco, was killed in September 2011 in Afghanistan.
