Oklahoma County prosecutors have asked a judge to reinstate conspiracy complaints against a state lawmaker and a former state senator who also face bribery charges.

Prosecutors presented their request to District Judge Ray Elliott at a hearing Monday in the case of Rep. Randy Terrill of Moore and former Sen. Debbe Leftwich.

Attorneys for Terrill and Leftwich asked Elliott to reject the request. Elliott took the matter under advisement and said he'll rule Dec. 5.

Special Judge Stephen Alcorn ruled earlier this month that there is sufficient evidence to try Terrill and Leftwich for bribery but rejected the conspiracy counts.

Prosecutors allege Terrill and Leftwich schemed to set Leftwich up in a state job so a Republican colleague of Terrill's could run for her open seat.

Both deny the allegations.
