Law Enforcement Captures Escapee From Northwest Oklahoma Prison

An inmate who escaped a minimum security prison near the Oklahoma panhandle is in custody.

Officers from the Woodward Police Department found Robert Bartholdi, 31, Monday, November 28 around 1:45 p.m. Barholdi escaped from William S. Key Correctional Center in Fort Supply early Monday morning.

Prison officials said when they performed a headcount at 3 a.m., Bartholdi was present. When they counted again at 4 a.m., Bartholdi was gone. The staff immediately activated the Emergency Response Team.

Bartholdi is serving time for bail jumping, possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, and knowingly concealing stolen property. William S. Key is a minimum security prison with no fence. It's not known how Bartholdi escaped.
