A woman says she didn't stop for police and crashed into a building because her brakes didn't work.

A man says the woman rear-ended his Chevy pickup truck near the intersection of N.W. 36th and Grand around 10 a.m. Wednesday. He says he tried to get her to pull over so he could get her insurance information, but the woman drove away.

Police chased the driver up N. Portland Avenue. The woman lost control, sped through a parking lot and crashed into the front of Tru-Care Rehab Solutions near N.W. 50th Street and Portland.

No one was hurt in the crash. Police say they later discovered the brakes in the car did not work.  They don't know if the brakes were out during the original crash, or if they went out during the pursuit.

Police cited the woman.  It's not known if she will face any charges.
