STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

The Oklahoma State Cowboys won their second straight exhibition game Saturday with a 66-53 win over Oklahoma Baptist.

Despite OSU's first points coming on an exciting tomahawk dunk from Le'Bryan Nash, OBU got out to a much stronger start than the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State had five early turnovers which OBU took advantage of and eventually built as much as a nine point lead in the opening minutes of the game.

Eventually the Cowboys round a rhythm and chipped away at the Bison's lead. With just over five minutes left in the first OSU guard Keiton Page gave the Cowboys their first lead of the game off a three point jumper.

OSU stepped up its defense with added pressure and traps in the corners that forced Oklahoma Baptist to hurry and turn the ball over. The Cowboys capitalized on those turnovers which transformed their 7-0 first half run into a 26-7 run by halftime.

At the break Oklahoma State led 33-23 and had 10 turnovers while OBU committed 16 turnovers in the first half.

In the second OSU once again struggled with turnovers early giving it up four times in the first few minutes. OSU also had trouble defensively in the second seeming out of position frequently which led to wide open looks for OBU.

The Bison got within six points in the second, but Oklahoma State held on enough to come away with the 66-53 win.

The two teams committed a total of 42 turnovers in the contest—Oklahoma State had 18 while OBU had 24 to which the Cowboys scored 23 points off of.

Page led the scoring for the Cowboys with 18 points followed by Jean-Paul Olukemi who added 14 points and Nash who tallied 10 points and four rebounds.

Marques Anderson led the Bison with 13 points on the night and three rebounds. Emmanuel Wilson added 11 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Oklahoma State shot 36.2 percent from the field and 40 percent from the three point line. OBU managed 33.3 percent from the field and 46.2 from three point range.

The Cowboys return to action Friday Nov. 11 hosting Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 7 p.m.
