Thirteen Cowgirls, 12 Sooners Named Academic All-Big 12 For Soccer

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 released its list of Academic All-Big 12 performers for women's soccer on Tuesday, and a number of Cowgirls and Sooners are on the list.

Twelve Cowgirls made First Team Academic All-Big 12 with one player on the second team.

Eight Sooners made the first team and three landed on the second team.

To make the first team, players must maintain a 3.20-plus GPA. Second teamers have between a 3.00 and 3.19 GPA.

Baylor led the list with 16 overall selection of the 89 total players.

Twelve players registered a perfect 4.0 GPA, including five Cowgirls (Colleen Dougherty, Kristen Kelley, Krista Lopez, Annika Niemeier and Kyndall Treadwell) and one Sooner (Katharine Nutman).
