STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The 2nd-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls claimed their fourth consecutive Big 12 title by capping off an undefeated season with a 2-0 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders, thanks to a shutout by keeper Adrianna Franch.
The junior from Kansas came up with a clean sheet thanks to seven saves on 17 Red Raiders shots on the night. Franch capped off a dominant season during which she gave up just three goals in her 13 appearances in net for Oklahoma State.
OSU's two goals on the night were both unassisted, the first coming in the 40th minute when a Taylor Matthews corner kick deflected off a defender and into the goal, her sixth on the season. Kyndall Treadwell cinched the win for the Cowgirls in the 64th minute, on a one-timer from 20-yards out.
OSU wraps up the regular season with a 14-0-2 record, with its two ties coming against Texas and Texas A&M late in conference play. The Cowgirls now wait for the Big 12 tournament, which Oklahoma State could open with a Bedlam matchup, pending Friday's results.
