OKLAHOMA CITY -- New York City schools are about to launch a new sex ed curriculum which goes way beyond promoting safe sex in my opinion.
Here's what you had to say about it, Ladonna from Holdenville first: "It should be about this is what will happen if you have unsafe sex. Not what kind of sex would you like to do?"
Amanda from Elk City: "My 2 cents is keep your kid's minds full of other things instead of sex."
But Parker from Edmond writes: "I didn't know educating children on sex made them have sex."
Chris says: "New York's teen birth rate is less than half of Oklahoma's. We should learn from them."
Ann in Lawton wants to know: "What will qualify as extra credit--teenage pregnancies, STDs, abortions, rampant promiscuity?"
James writes: "Sex Ed, if taught in school at all, needs to be done in a very conservative and tasteful manner."
Finally Robert says: "Schools aren't teaching these things, they're promoting them."
