Silver Alert Canceled, OKC Man Found Safe

Oklahoma City police have canceled a silver alert issued for a man who was reported missing Monday. Anthony Mitchell has been found alive and well, according to police.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have canceled a silver alert issued for a man who was reported missing Monday. Anthony Mitchell has been found alive and well, according to police.

According to the police department, 79-year-old Mitchell was last seen at 7:30 a.m. at his home, located at 4936 Brookdale Drive in Oklahoma City. He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with black stripes, a blue jacket and a baseball cap.

Mitchell stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds. He was driving a silver, 4-door, 2002 Nissan Maxima with an Oklahoma license plate 459BXK.

According to police, Mitchell may be trying to get a handicap sticker. He also said he was going drive to Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City to shop at the commissary. Police said someone at Tinker reported seeing Mitchell driving at approximately 12:30 p.m. and he has not been seen since.

Police said Mitchell was under proven medical or physical disability.
