Silver Alert Still In Effect For Missing Payne County Man

COYLE, Oklahoma – The Payne County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 96-year-old man who disappeared Thursday, October 20, 2011.

They notified the media that the Silver Alert is still in effect Saturday.

John Whitmore was last seen around 10:30 a.m. in the 9400 block of Coyle Road in Coyle, Oklahoma. That's northeast of Guthrie. Deputies say Whitmore has dementia and a history of becoming confused and disoriented.

Whitmore is 125 pounds and was last seen wearing blue denim overalls and a tan or brown coat.
