OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma got off to a very slow start on the road against Kansas Saturday, which hurt its final grades in Dean Blevins' report card.

The game was a tale of two halves for the Sooners, who improved dramatically after halftime. The defense only allowed six total yards and one first down after halftime, which also gave the offense more opportunities to run the ball.

But before the half, the Sooners struggled on both sides of the ball. Landry Jones missed his first four passes and was routinely out of sync with his receivers, and Kansas managed to rush for more than 130 yards in the fourth quarter alone.

OU also committed three turnovers and did not force any of its own. But the Sooners got all of their sluggishness out of the way against an inferior opponent, and ended up dominating almost every other statistical category.
