OKLAHOMA CITY -- Metro women headed to Remington Park Saturday, but horse racing wasn't the only thing they came for.
Women from across the metro gathered to compete in the race track's annual Derby Day competition to see who has the most extravagant hat to wear to the race track.
"Every year it's getting better and better, " said Kim Koch, Remington Park spokeswoman. "And this year, I think the women are feeling more emboldened, especially for the most creative contest because we're seeing Marie Antoinette. We're seeing hats that are maybe four and a half feet across."
News 9's own Adrianna Iwasinski was also at the competition.
Koch said the contest has become so popular that they will move to a bigger room next year.
