OKLAHOMA CITY -- The long-awaited opening of Whole Foods in Oklahoma City is only days away and there is a lot in this store that is unique to Oklahoma City.

Before the grand opening, however, there is still a lot of work to do. Boxes are being unpacked, shelves need to be stocked, and employees are learning the tricks of the trade.

"These are our seafood specialists," Chris Jones said. "They are learning right now how to fillet a whole fish."

The seafood counter is one of the first displays customers will see when they walk through the front doors.

"Even if people don't like seafood, we usually get them to walk by here to check out what's going on," Jones said.

A 24-foot case of seafood that is flown in daily to the landlocked Sooner State is one of the many features unique to this store.

From sweet to spicy, the store will have everything.

"You just take a couple nutmegs, take them home and grind them so they're very fresh," said Sarah Innerarity.

Fresh and all natural is the motto of Whole Foods.

Employees say the store is not just for the health conscious, but also for the buyer on a budget.

"How to save money? We can take them on value tours. They are free to the public. We offer those. We will also offer cooking demonstrations, special diet tours. Let's say you're learning to cook on a vegan diet, or gluten free, we can walk you through the store," Innerarity said.

Innerarity is already busy with tours.
