Crews Contain Wildfire Southeast Of Cushing

At least one structure has been destroyed due to a large wildfire burning near Cushing.

CUSHING, Oklahoma -- At least one structure has been destroyed after a large wildfire near Cushing. No word yet on if it was occupied.

Cushing firefighters have contained the blaze approximately five miles southeast of the Cushing Municipal Airport. According to the fire department, the fire started just south of Highway 33 and east of Highway 99.

A black hawk helicopter offered air support to help contain the fire.
